The crushing capacity of a crusher refers to the amount of material it can crush per unit of time; its unit is typically expressed as tons per hour.

The crushing capacity of a crusher refers to the amount of material it can crush per unit of time, and its unit is typically expressed as tons per hour.

There are many factors that affect the production capacity of crushers:

1. The hardness of the material. The harder the material, the more difficult it is to crush, and the greater the wear and tear on the equipment. Slower crushing speeds naturally result in lower crushing capacity.

2. When the moisture content of the material—i.e., the amount of water contained in the material—is high—the material tends to stick easily inside the crusher and is also prone to clogging during the discharge and conveying process, thereby reducing the crushing capacity.

3. The fineness of the material after crushing: The higher the fineness requirement—that is, the finer the crushed material needs to be—the lower the crushing capacity will be.

4. The composition of the material: The more fine powder contained in the material before crushing, the greater the impact on the crushing process, as this fine powder tends to stick together and interfere with conveying. For materials with a high fine-powder content, it’s advisable to screen them once beforehand.

5. The viscosity of the material—specifically, the higher the viscosity of a material, the easier it is to adhere.

6. The better the wear resistance of the crushing components (such as hammer heads and jaw plates) in crushing equipment, the greater the crushing capacity will be. If these components are not wear-resistant, their crushing capacity will be affected.

With economic development, China’s crusher industry has rapidly gained popularity, driven by strong domestic and international demand. After technological upgrades and enhancements—such as jaw crushers, cone crushers, grinding mills, stone production lines, and powder grinding production lines—these crushing machines have become increasingly versatile. While still widely used in the mineral processing industry, they are now extensively employed in the cement industry as well, demonstrating their significant role and value.

Impact Crusher Factor analysis of production:

1. The ventilation network design and installation are unreasonable.

  a. Improper or incorrect fan selection;

  b. The duct diameter is too small;

  c. If the radius of curvature of the duct elbow is too small, the resistance will increase, thereby affecting the airflow volume.

  d. The settling chamber at the bottom of the crusher is insufficiently sized and too small;

2. The material has a high moisture content or oil content.

  a. If the moisture or oil content is too high, the discharge will be sluggish and the screen mesh is likely to become clogged.

  b. Excessive moisture or oil content can clog the dust collector bags, leading to excessive material buildup and obstructing airflow and air pressure, thereby reducing crushing output.

3. The hammer blades are severely worn; pay attention to regular inspections and replace them promptly.

4. If the discharge screw conveyor of the crusher lacks a material seal, it should be equipped with a material-sealing screw conveyor and an auxiliary suction port installed at the other end of the discharge (except in cases where pneumatic conveying is used for material discharge).

5. Since the crusher is fed by an auger, an auxiliary suction port should be added above the crusher’s feed inlet. Under the suction generated by the fan, this will create negative pressure inside the crushing chamber, thereby increasing the output.

6. The screen mesh is installed upside down—the smooth side with the larger aperture should face outward, while the rough side, which comes into contact with the material, should face inward.

7. Poor sealing between equipment leads to air leakage.
