The drum-type wood chipper series is specialized equipment designed for the production of wood chips. The drum-type wood chipper features advanced design, produces high-quality wood chips, has broad raw-material compatibility, and is easy to operate and maintain. Its primary raw materials include small-diameter logs, as well as wood harvesting and processing residues such as branches, twigs, bark, slats, log cores, and waste veneer. It can also be used to chip non-wood materials, such as sugarcane, reeds, and moso bamboo.

The drum-type wood chipper consists of components such as the machine body, knife roller, upper and lower feeding rollers, conveyor belt, and hydraulic system.
The frame is welded from high-strength steel plates and serves as the supporting foundation for the entire machine.
Two, three, or four flying knives are mounted on the knife roller. These flying knives are secured to the knife roller using specially manufactured flying-knife bolts and pressure blocks. Depending on the thickness of the material being cut, the upper feeding roller assembly can move up and down within a certain range with the aid of a hydraulic system. The qualified slices cut from the material fall through the mesh screen holes and are discharged from the bottom; larger pieces will be further processed inside the machine.
Hydraulic System: Powered by an oil pump to the cylinder, this system enables the hood to be opened for easy blade replacement. During maintenance, the upper feed roller assembly can be lifted, facilitating adjustments to the clearance between the flying knife and the bottom knife, as well as the removal and installation of the comb plates.
